With the visitors coasting, it was the RCB keeper’s review that turned the game on its head. Royals looked set with Dhruv Jurel, but Jitesh’s smart review triggered a collapse to guide his team to victory in IPL 2025.

Jitesh Sharma might have played a small cameo with the bat, but he sure did turn up behind the stumps. With the Rajasthan Royals cruising. it was Jitesh’s game awareness that turned defeat into victory. In the penultimate over, the RCB wicketkeeper pushed captain Rajat Patidar for a review. Dhruv Jurel had seemed to miss a wide yorker, with not much of an appeal from the players.
However, Sharma insisted on a review. The replays then showed a spike near the RR batter’s bottom edge, ending his stay at the crease. The moment turned the match on its head, with Hazlewood finishing the over with another wicket of Jofra Archer. But the wicket of a well set Jurel was key to RCB winning the game. The RR keeper had taken Bhuvneshwar Kumar to the cleaners, and was RR’s hope at winning the game in Chinnaswamy.
Jitesh followed it up with an acrobatic run out in the final over. Defending 17, Sharma dived to break the stumps. It was a game of tight margins, with Wanindu Hasaranga caught just centimetres short of the crease. RCB eventually won by 11 runs, defending 18 in the last 2 overs.
Earlier, Jitesh with the bat chipped in with a 10-ball 20, making an all-round effort in RCB’s first home win of IPL 2025. The wicket-keeper batter has been in fine form for his new team, chipping in with valuable contributions down the order. He has 121 runs in 7 innings, striking at 147.56.
