Former India cricket team captain Virat Kohli has reportedly informed the BCCI that he wishes to retire from Test cricket. This report emerges just two days after Rohit Sharma announced his abrupt decision to retire from the longest format of the game. Kohli’s decision comes just before the IND vs ENG Test series which is scheduled to commence from June 20.

Virat wants to retire from Tests
As per The Indian Express, Kohli has made up his mind on retiring from Tests and has informed the BCCI. The board and the selectors have reportedly asked him to reconsider his decision. But, Kohli is yet to do so.
“He has made up his mind and has informed the board that he is moving on from Test cricket. The BCCI has urged him to rethink as the crucial England tour is coming up. He is yet to revert on the request,” sources told this newspaper.
