Australian dasher Travis Head played a quickfire knock in the SRH vs KKR IPL 2025 clash on Sunday as the southpaw gears up for the upcoming WTC final match against South Africa. Opening the batting alongside Abhishek Sharma, Head was severe on KKR pacers as he took full use of the field restrictions. To note, Travis Head missed a few previous matches owing to Covid-19, but the left-handed batter feels that he is more than ready now.

Covid-19 was not ideal: Head

“COVID-19 was not ideal going home. You get a few days at home, but you can’t enjoy it. Back now and feeling good. Hopefully, we sign off with another win. We have been pretty good since we came back from the break. We know it was there. We have played simple cricket in the last couple of games. Hopefully, go out on a positive note. And yeah, to have some energy about it,” said Head before the start of SRH vs KKR IPL 2026 match.

“First, you need to go and have a look at the wicket. The guys know the conditions really well. Played here a couple of times. So it is good to ask the guys who have played here a lot. Trying to sum it up well. I think I did an okay job last night. Wanted to go a bit longer. We set a platform for the middle order. The guys behind us are in a nice touch. Hopefully, we can get to a positive and nice start tonight. We will try and access it as quickly as possible,” he added.

After the IPL 2025, Travis Head is expected to go back to Australia before he starts to prepare for the much-anticipated WTC 2025 final match against the Proteas to be played next month.
