Con cuatro ojos seguidos, el indio de Cathona saltó en la mesa de 3 escritores. SRH es sentenciado al noveno lugar.

Mumbai Indians continued their winning streak to storm to No.3 in the IPL 2025 points table after a crushing victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad on Wednesday.

MI, who had lost four out of their first five matches this season, have now won four successive games and find themselves behind Gujarat Titans and Delhi Capitals with 10 points from 9 matches.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Punjab Kings and Lucknow Super Giants also have 10 points each but MI have a better net run rate than these three teams.

The victory was headlined by Trent Boult’s haul of 4 for 26, Deepak Chahar’s 2 for 12 and Rohit Sharma’s second successive half-century.

Boult was on fire on a good batting pitch where Abhishek Sharma had created a record with 141 against Punjab Kings only a few nights back. Boult blew apart the SRH top-order with the wickets of Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma while Chahar got lucky with the wicket of Ishan Kishan and then dismissed Nitish Kumar Reddy.

With 4 wickets down inside 5 overs, SRH needed a heroic effort to bat 20 overs. That effort came in the form of Heinrich Klaasen, whose 44-ball 71 saved the hosts from absolute embarrassment. He struck 9 fours and 2 sixes to show his teammates they were batting on an absolute belter.

Abhinav Manohar, who replaced Head in the middle came out and hit 43 to help SRH finish with 143 for 8.

It was a much better total than SRH could have hoped for but with Rohit back in prime form, they had no chance against a pumped-up MI.

Ryan Rickelton fell for 11 but Will Jacks and Suryakumar Yadav chipped in with quick cameos to support Rohit Sharma. The India ODI and Test captain has been criticised for his form time and again but he has shown his class each time. He eventually fell for 70 off 46 but not before MI were on the verge of a huge victory.

Rohit had started the season with a duck against Chennai Super Kings before turning up with scores of 8, 13, 17, 18 and 26. The former MI captain found form with an unbeaten 76 against CSK and then followed it up with a classy 70 against SRH to steer MI to an important win.
