Tom Moody sin palabras que pasen el camino de Shreyas Iyer de leer Josh Hazlewood y finalmente Pbks Pubks
Former Australian cricketer Tom Moody tore into PBKS captain Shreyas Iyer after his flop show with the bat in Qualifier 1 against RCB. The batter managed to score just 2 runs before he was sent packing by Josh Hazlewood. PBKS were bowled out for just 101 runs in the match, which RCB managed to chase down in 10 overs.
Iyer asked to pocket ego
As per The Indian Express, Moody reckoned that Iyer needed to pocket his ego and move forward. He added that the PBKS captain had completely misread the game situation and his own situation. In T20s, Iyer has been dismissed by the Australian bowler 4 times, while managing to score only 11 runs from the 22 deliveries he’s faced.
“At times, you need to put your ego in your pocket and just move forward. To me that was the perfect example of not reading the situation – trying to overcome something that has been a darkness in the past instead of just swallowing your pride and just moving on by just accumulating. You only had to see Hazlewood out,” Moody said.
The hosts had already lost Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh early, neecding Shreyas to rebuild. However, Iyer felt the pressure of the match up and attempted an ugly slog. Shreyas could only find an edge through to Phil Salt behind the stumps.
