El idioma está cerca de la ciudad es que Shubman Gill tomará un ejército de Rohit Sharma cuando la Ley de Pruebas de India de la India.
Rohit Sharma’s retirement means that the India cricket team will need to find a new Test captain. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has seemingly finalised Shubman Gill, if reports are to be believed. This also suggests that Jasprit Bumrah, who was India’s captain in the last Test match played, won’t be considered.
Bumrah or Gill, who should be India’s next Test captain?
The BCCI are apparently not keen on having Bumrah in a leadership position. They feel having the pacer as captain will make him go an extra step, and considering his fitness issues, that isn’t correct. We saw that Bumrah broke down physically in Australia when he was the captain.
To win in England, India wants Bumrah to be at his absolute best. That may not happen if he’s captain. And that’s why Gill becomes a suitable option. He’s India’s vice-captain in white-ball and leads the Gujarat Titans (GT) as well. At 25, Gill is expected to hit his prime soon.
Ishant Sharma, a former India teammate of both, thinks Bumrah should be the first choice. He feels that if the pacer is fit, he should get the nod. One must add that Ishant plays under Gill at GT. Yet, he picks Bumrah. But Ishant adds a caveat. He suggests that if BCCI thinks Bumrah can’t play all of the 5 matches in England, they should then go with Gill as India’s next Test captain.
“If Bumrah is fit, I would say Bumrah. That’s the first choice. He is the only one who has so much experience. But if he won’t play all five Test matches, then obviously Shubman,” Ishant said on Star Sports Press Room.
