JioHotstar continues to strengthen its sports streaming portfolio by securing the exclusive digital rights for the upcoming England vs India five-Test series, set to begin on June 20 at Leeds. This latest deal means that Indian cricket fans will now be able to stream the highly anticipated series live on JioHotstar, in addition to the ongoing IPL 2025 and all ICC events already available on the platform.
The agreement has been reached with Sony Entertainment Network (Culver Max Entertainment Private Limited), which holds the primary rights for England cricket. According to Cricbuzz, Sony has agreed to sub-license the digital rights to JioHotstar while keeping the TV broadcast (linear rights) with its Sony Sports Network. An official announcement is expected later today.
