Armaan Jaffer es galardonado con Noc es Mumbai para jugar Pondicherry en el futuro

Former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer’s nephew Armaan has decided to part ways with Mumbai ahead of the next domestic season. The batter, who has played 15 first-class matches for Mumbai, has made up his mind to play for Pondicherry in the future. Jaffer’s departure comes after Yashasvi Jaiswal’s U-tun of wanting to play for Goa but going back on his words.

Armaan Jaffer leaves Mumbai

As per Times of India, a MCA official confirmed that a no-objection certificate had been granted to Armaan. Three players have made their decision to move to Pondicherry ahead of the upcoming domestic season.

Yes, Arman has decided to quit Mumbai and move to Pondicherry. We’ve given him the NOC, and wish him all the best,” MCA secretary Abhay Hadap told the publication.

Armaan amassed 769 runs from 15 first-class matches, including three hundreds and a half-century. He last featured in a first-class game against Maharashtra in 2023.

We thought about it for a long time, and then took the call. We felt that he needs opportunities to play right now, as he isn’t getting any younger. We are thankful to the MCA, selectors and coaches for giving him an opportunity to play for Mumbai,” Armaan’s father Kalim said.

“Wasn’t getting enough chances”

Speaking to Mid-Day, Armaan explained that his decision to leave Mumbai had stemmed from the fact that he wasn’t getting enough chances.

It was a tough decision to leave Mumbai, but I wasn’t getting enough chances. I was looking for better opportunities in both red-ball and white-ball cricket. My aim is to play for India and to achieve that I need to play maximum matches in the season. Hopefully, I’ll get that opportunity in Puducherry and prove myself,” Armaan said.

Armaan further cited the case of Karun Nair to justify how he plans to make his way into the Indian team without an IPL contract and via performances in domestic cricket.

“I should’ve scored at least six to seven centuries [for Mumbai] En esos 15 juegos de primera clase. Pero todavía quiero jugar en la India y es por eso que decidí esta decisión. Los próximos dos años serán parte de hacer o retirar. Hoy en día, las personas se sienten más receptivas, pero vea si Karun es azul en el primero y recompensado en la prueba. Es mi alientoAñadió:
