Dindigul Dragons Capitán RaceWinstran Ashwin no está satisfecho con la decisión de darle la oportunidad de dejar TNP 2025
Dindigul Dragons captain Ravichandran Ashwin was not a happy man after his dismissal against iDream Tiruppur Tamizhans and he made no efforts to hide it. After being adjudged out via a LBW, the veteran was extremely angered by the umpire’s decision. Ashwin’s side ended up being bowled out for just 93 runs in the game, allowing Sai Kishore’s side to pick up a 9-wicket win.
TNPL 2025: Ashwin unhappy with umpire’s decision
The incident occurred in the last delivery off the 5th over as ITT captain Kishore was bowling to his DGD counterpart Ashwin. The veteran batter was trapped for what looked like a LBW and the umpire did not hesitate to raise the finger. However, an unhappy Ashwin attempted to confront the umpire who decided to just turn her back on the veteran.
Replays of the delivery showed that the ball was perhaps pitching outside the leg and hence missing the stumps, justifying Ashwin’s anger. The Dindigul Dragons skipper was seen slamming the bat to his pads as he walked back to the dugout, fuming.
What happened in DGD vs ITT, TNPL 2025 match?
Opening the innings for DGD, Ashwin managed to score 18 runs off 11 deliveries, including two fours and one six before he was sent packing.
Shivam Singh was the top run-scorer for the side with his 30-run knock. The rest of the line-up collapsed like a pack of cards. Sai Kishore finished with an outstanding spell of 2/10 from his 4 overs while Esakkimuthu was the top wicket-getter, having bagged 4 scalps in the game.
In response, Tushar Raheja stayed unbeaten on 65 runs to guide Kishore’s side to a mammoth 9-wicket win. Ganeshan Periyaswamy was the only DGD who managed to take a wicket as ITT completed the run-chase in 11.5 overs.
