The 18th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) is set to begin on Saturday at Eden Gardens in Kolkata between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).
Reports suggest that Bollywood playback singer Shreya Ghoshal, actress Disha Patani, and Punjabi pop star Karan Aujla may perform at the opening ceremony.
Previously, Bollywood actors Shraddha Kapoor and Varun Dhawan, along with singer Arijit Singh, were also rumored to be part of the event.However, no official announcement regarding the performers has been made yet.
Who performed in the IPL 2024 opening ceremony?
In the previous IPL season, Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, along with renowned singers Sonu Nigam and AR Rahman, graced the opening ceremony with their performances.
Additionally, Swedish DJ and music producer DJ Axwell energized the crowd during the mid-innings break.
