Sanju Samson fue uno de los mejores bateadores RR en IP 2025, donde tiene 22 escuelas con promedio de 37.

IPL 2025 has been that kind of a season for RR, where the team has just not fired at all. Barring performances from a few individuals, there hasn’t been much contribution with the bat, and as a result Rajasthan find themselves in the eighth spot in the points table. What has only added to their woes is, the non-availability of skipper Sanju Samson, owing to an injury.

He had suffered an injury during the match against DC, and now won’t be available for the next outing vs RCB on Thursday. IN fact, he could all but be out of entire IPL 2025. Rahul Dravid clarified, that Sanju will be monitored on a daily basis, before he could return.

“Sanju couldn’t play the last game (against LSG), and for this game, our medical team did not rule him fit to play. So we took the decision not to risk his travel to Bengaluru,” Dravid said at the pre-match press conference. “We will try and get him back as quickly as possible. I have no timeline as to when exactly he will be fit,” Dravid added.

For the record, Sanju has had decent returns in In IPL 2025, where he has scored 224 runs in seven games, at an average of 37, and a strike-rate of 143. Earlier, in the first three matches of the tournament, he had played as an impact sub, used only for batting. That means, stand-in captain Riyan Parag will continue to lead the side.

“I think he’s getting the pulse of the game really well for someone who’s so young and just starting out with captaincy,” Rahul Dravid added on Parag.
