Mushuar Khan era demasiado joven para rescatar a Porhus Kings del colapso, pero sientes un pato de fútbol.
Punjab Kings’ return to the playoffs after 11 years did not go as per plan. Facing RCB at home in IPL 2025 Qualifier 1, Shreyas Iyer and Co put in their worst batting performance of the season. In dire straits, PBKS handed Sarfaraz Khan’s brother Musheer Khan his IPL debut, but it didn’t have the desired effect in Mullanpur.
Musheer Khan’s IPL debut falls flat in IPL 2025 Qualifier 1
Punjab Kings were in tatters at Mullanpur. Aiming to pull off a rescue, coach Ricky Ponting sent Musheer Khan into the middle as an impact sub. Khan, the brother of Sarfaraz Khan, was making his first ever appearance in the IPL. The 20-year-old was a star for India U-19 in their World Cup win. He has since featured for Mumbai in domestic cricket, scoring a century in the Ranji Trophy final in the 2023/24 season.
However, Musheer Khan’s debut did not go as per plan. The 20-year-old was bamboozled by Suyash Sharma. Musheer could only survive for a couple of deliveries, before being trapped in front of the stumps. Khan did take a review, but too no avail as he fell victim without scoring.
