However, the middle order faltered, and despite Dhruv Jurel’s composed 47 off 34 balls, RR fell short, finishing at 194/9. This loss equaled RR’s worst losing streak in IPL history, previously recorded in 2009.
McCrum’s liquor store visit added an off-field twist to RR’s struggles. While fans debated whether it was just a routine stop or a reaction to the defeat, the timing made it a talking point.
