Las pruebas fallidas de No, en Jitesh Sharma fueron suspendidas en sus trenes con Rurhatta con suerte.

The IPL 2025 league stage came to a close on Tuesday but not without drama. Jitesh Sharma secured RCB a top 2 finish in Lucknow but not before a little moment of ‘naughtiness’ from Digvesh Rathi. The LSG spinner attempted to Mankad the keeper at the non striker end, only for Rishabh Pant to later rescind the appeal.

RCB needed a record chase to reach Qualifier 1 and Jitesh Sharma kept the visitors in pursuit. The wicket keeper was in full flow, bringing the required rate down to below 10 an over at the Ekana Stadium. In a last ditch attempt to turn the game around, LSG’s Digvesh Rathi attempted a run out at the non striker’s end.

Drama ensued as Jitesh was well short of his crease. However, replays showed that Rathi had gone ahead with his bowling action meaning it was not valid attempt. Rishabh Pant, the LSG skipper, meanwhile withdrew his appeal to get on with the game. Jitesh was a relieved man, even embracing Rishabh after the decision was made.

Jitesh Sharma made most of the missed Mankad, leading RCB to victory. The stand in captain finished unbeaten on 85 off just 33 balls, with the visitors winning with 8 balls to spare.

Rathi’s actions will again spur a spirit of cricket debate as it is with most Mankad attempts. The mystery spinner has already served a one game suspension in IPL 2025 and been multiple times for extravagant celebrations. His notebook celebration has divided fans alike, and his latest Mankad try is likely to trigger it further.

And while the attempt did not work, Rishabh Pant came to his rescue. The LSG captain withdrew his appeal, meaning Jitesh would have survived even if adjudged out. In a sport where every run us crucial, Pant had the heart to allow his counterpart to continue.
