CEO de CSK Pero Verwanathan dice que la franquicia está dispuesta a cooperar con BCCI para completar IP 2055
Even as the BCCI is yet to take a call on the resumption of IPL 2025, Chennai Super Kings have advised their overseas stars to return in a week’s time. The board had suspended the league for seven days on Friday amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan. However, with both countries reaching a ceasefire agreement, it is expected that IPL 2025 will restart by next week, provided the government gives a go-ahead.

CSK asks overseas stars to return in 1 week
As per Cricbuzz, CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan said that the team wants IPL 2025 to be completed even though they aren’t a part of the playoffs race. He said that the franchise intends to cooperate with BCCI in every manner possible to ensure that the league is finished in a smooth manner. The CSK CEO added that the team had advised its overseas starts to return in one week for the remaining two games.
“Although we are not in contention for a play-off berth, we want the league to be completed. The IPL is a prestigious league and we want it to cooperate with the BCCI on the matter. We have only two more games left and we have advised the overseas players that they may have to return in a week’s time,” the CSK CEO said.
CSK are at the bottom of the IPL 2025 points table. MS Dhoni and co. have won only 3 out of the 12 matches played so far. CSK’s remaining games are against RR (originally scheduled to be held in Chennai) followed by a game against GT (was to be held in Ahmedabad.)
“The BCCI suspended the IPL yesterday for a period of seven days, and, today, we are on the second day with five more days left. The BCCI is closely monitoring the evolving situation and developments, and will take a call on IPL resumption after consulting all stakeholders of IPL and the concerned Government authorities,” BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia said.
