Antes de la serie de Inglaterra, el entrenador infantil sugirió un bateador para hacer ejercicio mientras muerde
India cricket team batter Yashasvi Jaiswal’s childhood coach has advised the batter to take a cautious approach in the upcoming Test series against Engalnd. The opener did not fare well in the two India A unofficial Tests and faces an uphill task in what will be his first series in England. Ahead of the five-match series, his childhood coach Jwala Singh termed the tour as the real test for Jaiswal.
England series sans seniors real test for Jaiswal: Coach
Spekaing to Times of India, Jaiswal’s childhood coach pointed out that previously, Jaiswal played more freely as there were many seniors in the team. However, with Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli retiring from Tests, Jwala noted that Yashasvi would have to play more responsibily. He said that the opener would have to play more sensibly and with utmost caution.
“It’s great to hear terms like Bazball, but in five-day cricket, technique still matters a lot. Bazball is about intent — attacking the bowlers and playing with aggression. But doing that while managing conditions is key. In the Australia series, Yashasvi had seniors around him, which gave him the freedom to play his shots. But this time, the responsibility is greater,” Jwala said.
In his last Test series against Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Jaiswal managed to get three fifty-plus scores, including a higest score of 161. Jwala Singh opined that the Indian team will now rely heavily on Yashasvi in the England series and that this would be the real test for the batter in terms of his technique and temperament.
“The batting lineup will depend heavily on him. This series will be a real test — of his technique, temperament, and ability to win sessions for India. He will have to play sensible cricket and with caution,” he added.
The five-match Test series will commence from June 20 onwards.
