Cameron Green reveló a Bumrat Bumh a ella en octubre de 2024 antes de su lesión en el fondo
Australia cricket team all-rounder Cameron Green is all set to make his comeback to international cricket in the World Test Championship (WTC) final. The star went under the knife last year to resolve a long-standing back injury, the same that Jasprit Bumrah underwent back in 2022. Ahead of the WTC final, Green has revealed how Bumrah’s special gesture post his surgery had given him confidence.
Green reveals how Bumrah boosted his confidence post surgery
As per Cricbuzz, Bumrah reached out to Green during India’s series against New Zealand in October 2024 and told him that he was doing the right thing by going with surgery. Terming it very “special”, the Australian all-rounder recalled that despite not playing together during his stint with Mumbai Indians, he had established connection with the Indian pacer.
“That is really special. And makes you feel a lot better about it. I didn’t play with him in Mumbai but that was the connection through there. Spent a bit of time with him there. To get someone like him to reach out and then to watch him during the summer, to see how good he is obviously post-surgery, filled me with a lot of confidence,” Green said.
Green last featured in a Test in Australia vs New Zealand in March 2024. In September 2024, he was forced to undergo a surgery for his back injury that not only saw him being ruled out from the series against India at home but also the Champions Trophy and IPL 2025. However, the all-rounder returned to action in April 2025 and he created instant impact, showing everyone that he was very well ready for action.
In five County Championship games for Gloucester, he has scored three centuries. In his very first innings for the County side, he scored a 112-run knock. However, he was dismissed for just 3 runs in the 2nd innings.
The next two games saw him depart for single digit scores. However, he bounced back strongly in the following two games, registering knocks of 128, 67* and 118* and 25*.
