Women’s ODI World Cup venues out

India is set to host the Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 from September to November at 5 venues. Four of them are in India but the fifth is in Sri Lanka. That’s because Pakistan won’t play any matches in India. We don’t know if the arch-rivals will be placed in the same group. If they are, the India vs Pakistan match will be played in Colombo.

Gill & Sudharsan to skip India A match

Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan are set to miss the second unofficial Test between India A and England Lions. Part of Gujarat Titans, both batters were playing until May 30 and need some time to recover. Since the second game starts on June 6, it gives them very little time to rest, and hence, they won’t travel to England just yet.

Women’s Emerging Asia Cup postponed

The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has decided to postpone the Women’s Emerging Team Asia Cup 2025. Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has cited adverse weather and health concerns as the reasons behind the postponement. However, Bangladesh are set to tour Sri Lanka just 11 days after. Mind you, this would have been the first time India and Pakistan would have played cricket since border tensions in May.

BCCI denies politics for IPL Final venue change

The BCCI has categorically denied allegations that politics are being mixed with cricket. This comes after many accused that the IPL 2025 final was shifted from Kolkata to Ahmedabad due to political reasons. But BCCI vice-president Rajeev Shukla says the India-Pakistan conflict and weather were the reasons.

Tim David fit for IPL 2025 Final?

Rajat Patidar was asked about Tim David’s availability for the IPL 2025 Final. The RCB captain stated that the doctors are still determining whether he’ll be fit or not. RCB was supposed to know about it late on June 2. But since the press conference was held in the afternoon, we’ll only know about it on the day of the match.

Kohli’s number given to Mukesh Kumar?

BCCI has responded to comments regarding Virat Kohli’s iconic Test number 18 being awarded to Mukesh Kumar. Kohli had retired last month and fans were questioning the board for giving his number to the fast bowler for an India A match. The BCCI has made it clear that no player in an ‘A’ match has a designated number and hence, no one is using Kohli’s number 18.
