En vísperas de DC vs, Harth Jindla persiguió a BCCI para presentar el choque de Mumbai debido a la lluvia

Delhi Capitals co-owner Parth Jindal has written a mail to the BCCI requesting the MI vs DC clash to be moved out of Mumbai. The two sides will lock horns at the Wankhede stadium in what is a must-win game for both sides to keep their IPL 2025 playoff hopes alive. MI and DC are currently 4th and 5th on the points table respectively and will fight for one remaining spot in the IPL 2025 playoffs.

DC owner asks for game against MI to be relocated

As per ESPNCricinfo, DC co-owner Parth Jindal wrote in an email on the eve of the game stating that the tie between DC and MI in Mumbai was likely to be washed out. Dubbing the clash as a “virtual quarterfinal”, he claimed that it would be in the league’s best interest to move the game out of Mumbai. As per AccuWeather, there is 90% chance of rain in Mumbai during the match along with forecast for thunderstorms.

The forecast in Mumbai is for heavy rains and there is a strong likelihood that the game will be washed out. Just as the game between RCB vs SRH has been moved out of Bengaluru in the quest for consistency and in the interest of the league it is my request that tomorrow’s game also be moved to a different location as we have known for the better part of 6 days that the forecast for 21st in Mumbai is for heavy showers,” the DC co-owner wrote.

Jindal’s mail comes on the same day that KKR CEO Venky Mysore had written to the BCCI, complaining about a last-minute rule change in IPL 2025. Following the BCCI’s decision to add 60 extra minutes to the match duration in view of rain threat, the KKR official claimed that injustice had been meted out to the team as their playoff chances ended due to game against RCB in Bengaluru being washed out.
