Matheesha Pathirana, despite a lean patch, is likely to continue. So far at IPL 2025, Pathirana has picked up just 12 wickets at an expensive economy of 10.17. Ashwin’s inclusion adds experience but even he has had a poor season while CSK will bank on spin again through the Jadeja-Ashwin-Noor trio — a potentially potent threat to RR’s right-handed core.
