Atrolado en PSL 2025, IPL 205 se puede dar de manera similar, con BCCE puede provenir de la competencia o digerir a largo plazo.
The Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 has officially been shifted from Pakistan to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), following a dramatic escalation in cross-border tensions between India and Pakistan. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed the decision late Thursday evening after a high-level emergency meeting involving league stakeholders and foreign players. With only eight matches remaining in the tournament, new dates and venues will be announced in due course. InsideSport reported the same earlier.
PSL 2025 moved out of Pakistan
The move comes in the wake of a drone strike that occurred near the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium just hours before the Karachi Kings vs Peshawar Zalmi clash. The match was promptly cancelled, and security concerns prompted players—particularly overseas—to express reluctance about continuing in Pakistan. PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi held discussions with team representatives and players before finalizing the relocation of the PSL 2025.
This is not the first time the PSL has turned to the UAE for logistical support. The league’s early seasons were held in the Emirates due to similar concerns, while portions of the 2021 edition were played there during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Foreign players began departing Pakistan within hours of the announcement. Originally, matches were scheduled across Rawalpindi, Multan, and Lahore, with the final set for May 18. The rescheduling could also impact Pakistan’s upcoming T20I series against Bangladesh at home, slated to begin on May 25. As of now, the PCB has not issued an update on that series.
