The BCB on Thursday confirmed that it was trying to get back its two players from Pakistan — who are playing currently in the PSL 10. Nahid Rana and Rishad Hossain are offering their services for different teams. Earlier, the board had stated that they were closely monitoring the condition of the players.
But now, it seems that the drone strike near the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, has changed the scenario a bit. That has also thrown the entire PSL into uncertainty, with the PCB also considering to move the tournament to Doha or Dubai. It is also learnt that Nahid and Rishad are not willing to stay in the country.
“The Board is working closely with both the PCB and the Bangladesh High Commission to make certain that the cricketers feel safe and secure during their stay in Pakistan. Furthermore, the BCB is coordinating with the relevant authorities to ensure that all arrangements are in place to facilitate the eventual departure of the players from Pakistan in a timely and secure manner,” BCB said in a statement on Thursday.
“The BCB attaches the highest priority to the safety and security of its players,” the statement added.
