Bangladesh is set to tour Sri Lanka for an all-format bilateral series starting June 17, 2025, marking their first visit to the island nation in four years. The series will feature two Tests, three ODIs, and three T20Is, spanning a month from June 17 to July 16.

Test Series

The tour will begin with the first Test in Galle from June 17 to 21, followed by the second Test at the Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo from June 25 to 29. This series will kick off the new World Test Championship cycle for both teams. Historically, Sri Lanka has dominated Bangladesh in Test cricket, having never lost a series to them. Bangladesh, however, will be looking to change that narrative after drawing their recent Test series against Zimbabwe.

ODI Series

The focus will then shift to white-ball cricket, with three ODIs scheduled as day-night fixtures. The first two ODIs will be played at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on July 2 and 5, while the final ODI will take place at Pallekele on July 8. Bangladesh will aim to improve their ODI record against Sri Lanka, especially after their recent mixed performances in international cricket.

T20I Series

The tour will conclude with three T20Is, starting with the first match in Pallekele on July 10, followed by the second in Dambulla on July 13, and the final game in Colombo on July 16. Bangladesh recently appointed Litton Das as their new T20I captain, and this series will be a crucial test for his leadership.
