La realeza se desliza en 51/5 en aproximadamente cinco cinco para perseguir en la India

Rajasthan Royals became the first team to lose half their side inside the powerplay in the RR vs MI clash in Jaipur. Royals, who have largely struggled throughout IPL 2025, once again collapsed in a must-win game. On a wicket where the opposition smashed 217, Rahul Dravid’s side lost 5 wickets for just 51 runs in an embarrassing show.

Royals fall like pins in sorry batting display

Rajasthan Royals needed to win every game to remain in contention for the IPL 2025 playoffs. Their win over the Gujarat Titans offered a glimmer hope with Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal powering through to a dominant win. However, come the RR vs MI clash, the hosts fell back to their usual habits. The scorecard read: 13,0,9,0.

Having smashed a century in the last game, Vaibhav Suryavanshi was dismissed for a duck by Deepak Chahar. Trent Boult cleaned up Yashasvi Jaiswal before getting rid of Nitish Rana in his second over. Jasprit Bumrah then struck twice in two balls to dismiss RR skipper Riyan Parag and Shimron Hetmyer.

The Rajasthan Royals middle order has simply failed to turn up this IPL 2025. Captain Riyan Parag is their second highest run-getter but is yet to get a half-century this season. Jurel smashed a 70 in the first game of the season but has since been the culprit in three of their run chases. The Royals have their batters star in bits, but other than their win over Gujarat Titans, a collective show has been largely missing.

Sanju Samson’s absence has hurt the 2008 IPL champions, but Rahul Dravid’s return has not helped matters. The Royals have persisted with their struggling batters, and a poor auction meant that the Royals do not have many options. Vaibhav Suryavanshi turned out to a breath of fresh air. For a franchise of this magnitude to rely on a 14-year-old gives a clear indication things have not gone as per plan for Royals.
