Durante el juego de PCL en vivo, Raja cometió un error inesperado con jugadores de agitación: ¿fue un arco o algo más?
With both the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) happening simultaneously, cricket enthusiasts have plenty to keep up with. Even cricket pundits, like former Pakistan cricketer Ramiz Raja, are busy following the action in both leagues. Ramiz, however, had a slip of the tongue during a PSL match when he mistakenly referred to a player’s award as the ‘Catch of the IPL’ instead of the PSL.
Ramiz Raja’s mix-up between IPL and PSL
During the presentation ceremony after the match between Multan Sultans and Lahore Qalandars, Ramiz invited Joshua Little to collect his ‘Catch of the Match’ award but called it the ‘Catch of the IPL’. The mistake caught everyone off guard, and some fans in Pakistan have even called for Ramiz to apologize for the error.
Match highlights
Despite the mix-up, the match itself was an exciting spectacle. Multan Sultans emerged victorious, successfully defending a total of 228 runs. Yasir Khan was the star of the match for Multan, scoring an impressive 87 off just 44 balls. Iftikhar Ahmed also chipped in with a quick 40 off 18 balls.
Lahore Qalandars put up a fight, led by Sikandar Raza’s 50 off 27 balls, but ultimately fell short, ending their innings at 195/9 in 20 overs, losing by 33 runs.
Yasir Khan’s Post-Match Thoughts
After the match, Yasir Khan expressed his satisfaction with his performance, saying, “Have been working hard for this day, our team needed this kind of innings. Happy to contribute. There’s a lot of hard work and practice behind this. That’s why I didn’t face any issues. This is how I play my shots, I know my power, I can hit it straight and over midwicket. Wanted to back my strengths. Had been waiting for my opportunity.”
